R4-UFL Series

RICOH GEN4 printhead architecture

R4-UFL defines the best printhead architecture on high resolution and high speed inkjet technology. It is equipped with the latest RICOH GEN4 printheads which output 6 pico liter variable dot grayscale and 1200 dpi with 30 kHz jetting frequency. It is widely recognized as the best quality printhead for the ever-increasing production demand nowadays in terms of speed and quality. Moreover, upgradability is available on R4-UFL up to 32 printheads with 4 staggered and 2 UV LED lamps for bi-directional that can achieve a real production speed of 96 sqm/hr for 4 pass at 1200 x 600 dpi.

Latest UV LED curing technology

R4-UFL adopts the latest UV LED curing technology that has primary benefit over the conventional UV lamp curing process. UV LED saves significant energy with longer life span while it eliminates dangerous mercury and ozone emission from the conventional UV lamp curing process.

True industrial build flatbed with vacuum table

Built on a solid steel platform, R4-UFL features a unique, linear motor driven vacuum bed for highly accurate dot placement. The flatbed architecture can print on rigid media up to five centimeters (2”) thick. Gear up by a vacuum table to hold all types of materials perfectly in place to ensure perfect registration on rigid and flexible materials. A true flatbed means accuracy for perfection.

Intelligent two stages heating ink supply system

The intelligent two stages heating ink supply system on every R4-UFL series ensures the ink is at the perfect operational temperature and viscosity before printing. Located at the sub-ink tank and printhead, the system also ensures normal operation for cold and icy environment.

Active negative pressure ink system

The active negative pressure ink system ensures high stability of ink supply. Operator can easily monitor the system through digital display gauges to control active negative pressure. Additionally, the bulk and waste ink tank are installed with level sensors to alarm ink refill and overflow signal.
